History

Allied Stone Industries is a not for profit organization formed in the 1950's to provide a venue for stone companies to gather together and discuss various topics related to the natural stone industry. Its membership is "by invitation only" and limited to 75 members firms. Since its inception various members have been meeting at least once if not twice yearly to help foster the mission of Allied Stone Industries. The membership today is comprised of firms from many different aspects of the natural stone industry. These include, but are not limited to, natural stone quarriers, fabricators, distributors, importers and equipment manufacturers.

Mission

The mission of Allied Stone Industries is to:

1. Encourage and foster friendly relations among its members and to provide greater opportunitiy for service to the building stone industry and society in general.

2. Promote and encourage the use of natural stone.

3. Promote the discussion and advacement of modern methods of sales, fabrication and quarrying of stone and to encourage the development of machinery, tools and equipment benificial to the stone industry.
